Client Achievements

Project Management Lifecycle Consultant:

  • Successfully merged the Eskom Project Management Process (IT Regulatory Process) with iterative software development principles from IBM® Rational Unified Process®, which resulted in a new Project Management Process which was successfully applied in the SmallWorld GIS development area.

  • Tailored the software development process framework of the organization to match the specific needs of the various types of projects, using IBM® RUP® as basis

  • Educated and mentored project members on best practices for software development – specifically focusing on agile principles and practices

  • Ensured that, through quantitative measurement, valuable project experience was harvested and fed back into the software development process followed by a number of projects and programs

  • Assisted the project manager in planning and executing the projects undertaken (in a SmallWorld GIS environment), following sound principles for iterative software development

  • Mentored and coached client resources on aspects of configuration management, change management, quality management, requirements management and business analysis

  • Facilitated JAD sessions

  • Performed project management (according to PMBOK) while managing and improving the software development life cycle process in an object orientation software development environment
